The piece
Closing session of L.E.V. Festival 2025, with two concerts heard through wireless headphones.
Mizu, a US-based cellist, presented three of her own works for cello and electronic processing: 4 | 2 | 3, Forest Scenes and Distant Intervals. Dylan Henner works in experimental ambient music with synthesized voices, marimba, field recordings and synthesizers.
The space
An open-air concert in the Atlantic Botanical Garden, beside the Laguna Boreal. The audience could listen seated by the water or move among the trees without losing the sound.
Listening
The mix was the same for everyone. Each person chose the level they listened at with the volume control on their own headset. With no speakers, the concert added no noise to the garden.
