The piece
A concert by the French quartet Bacchantes as part of the 11th edition of La Xata La Rifa Festival, directed by Mónica Cofiño.
Four voices with instruments they built themselves: guitar, drums, keyboard and Indian harmonium.
The space
La Cuevona de Ardines is a natural chamber about 40 metres high. It is reached by some 300 steps up the hillside and has an opening that lets in natural light. It has no electricity supply.

Listening
120 people listened to the concert through wireless headphones. Sounds of the cave itself, captured with microphones placed in different cavities, were added to the live music. The mix was the same for everyone. Each person chose the level they listened at with the volume control on their own headset.
The concert was released as a live album, La Cuevona de Ardines (Live), on Sedum Album in December 2024.
